COURSE DESCRIPTION
Looking to perform in immersive and interactive theatre? Join us for a 3 week course studying the improvisational skills used in one-on-one scene work with audience participants.
DATES & TIMES:
Saturday January 11th, 4-7pm
Sunday January 12th, 4-7pm
Saturday January 18th, 4-7pm
Sunday January 19th, 4-7pm
Saturday January 25th, 4-7pm
Sunday January 26th, 4-7pm
(FINAL FEEDBACK, DRESS REHEARSAL)
CULMINATING PERFORMANCE:
Location: The Plunge at the Broadwater
Tuesday, January 28th from 7-9pm
Call Time: 6:30pm
This course is for trained actors looking to refine their perspectives for immersive/interactive theatre. You will learn a process of experiential character development, tools that transform audience participants into co-creators, tips for playing with difficult participants, and more! Students will prepare a 5-8 minute vignette which will be presented in a culminating performance at the end of the session. Students are expected to attend all 6 sessions.
COST:
General Registration is $250 per person.
Now & Later Registration allows you to pay $100 up front, and the remaining $150 by January 2nd.

Meet the instructors
JEFF WIRTH
Jeff Wirth is the director of the Interactive PlayLab, a training and research laboratory for live interactive performance experiences. Jeff has consulted for Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, and Disney Imagineering. He wrote the book, Interactive Acting and has created over 100 interactive performances. Jeff's eclectic background includes ballroom dancing, computer programming, and clowning for the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. Learn more at www.InteractivePlayLab.com.
JOANNA HARMON
Joanna Harmon has worked across the country as an actor, teacher, director, and producer with a myriad of companies including The Guthrie Theater, The Children's Theater Company, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, Cirque du Soleil, and The Interactive Deep Dive. She has created numerous interactive productions across the country that have included 1-100 participants and have spanned lengths of 4 minutes to 4 days. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actor Training Program.
